Editorial Policy

The NSFW List covers AI companion services for adult readers. Our articles aim to explain a product clearly enough for a reader to understand its costs, limitations and relevant alternatives.

Sources and verification

Official product documentation, current pricing pages, help centres and published policies are the starting point for factual claims. We identify when information was checked. If a detail is unavailable or cannot be verified, we say so rather than filling the gap with an assumption.

Research and hands-on use

Reading documentation is different from using a product. A research-based article does not claim hands-on testing. Where an article includes direct observations, it explains the access level, relevant conditions and limitations. A screenshot is evidence only of what it actually shows.

Costs and comparisons

We separate monthly billing from annual-plan equivalents and distinguish subscription access from additional tokens, coins or credits. Comparisons use the same criteria on both sides where information is available. We do not publish numerical ratings without explaining how they were derived.

Use of AI tools

AI tools may assist with research organisation, outlines, drafting and editing. Their output is not treated as a source. Claims must be checked against evidence, and generated text must be reviewed before publication.

Affiliate links

Commercial links are disclosed. The presence of an affiliate relationship does not justify an unsupported claim or the omission of a relevant limitation. Paid placements must be labelled. See the affiliate disclosure.

Updates and corrections

We update articles when we confirm a material change or error. Dates should reflect a meaningful review or change, not an automatic freshness label. See our contact page for current contact availability and correction guidance.
