GirlfriendGPT offers conversations with characters made by users, alongside character creation, voice and media features. For someone considering a subscription, the useful distinction is between the amount of chat included, any separate media balance, and what a character can recall. Those are different questions, even when a plan presents them together.

What the official service documents
The official site presents custom and community-created characters, text conversations, voice and image features. These describe available categories of functionality, not our assessment of their quality. A large character library does not establish that every character uses the same model, follows instructions equally well or has the same limits.
The Terms of Use, marked June 18, 2026, describe limited free access and monthly message credits for paid users. They say message credits reset monthly without carrying over. The document gives illustrative free limits and paid quantities; we do not treat those examples as a verified current plan table.
Four checks before comparing a plan

Memory needs evidence from a conversation
We have not verified an exact context size, a named underlying language model or a permanent-memory entitlement for the current plans. This review therefore does not promise that a character remembers everything or identify it as GPT-4-powered.
A useful evaluation would separate three observations: whether an earlier message remains visible, whether a later answer uses a fact from it, and whether the same fact is available after starting a different conversation. These outcomes answer different questions. An old transcript remaining on screen is not enough to establish recall.
For a future test, record the selected character, model, plan and settings first. Use an invented, ordinary detail rather than personal information, then note the actual response and the conversation length. Repeat under the same conditions before drawing a conclusion. This is our proposed method; no results have been collected.
Price, cancellation and data retention
The official FAQ links to the subscription page. During our check, that page redirected to sign-in. We have not substituted prices from unrelated domains or presented an annual monthly equivalent as an amount billed each month.
The cancellation policy in the Terms describes stopping rebilling through account subscription management. It distinguishes cancelling future charges from refunding payments already made. We have not tested that process or its confirmation email.
The privacy policy says personal information is usually retained for six years after account closure, while also describing access and erasure rights and possible changes to retention periods. That does not establish the treatment of every individual message. Account closure, a deletion request and stopping a subscription should be checked separately.
How to use this review
GirlfriendGPT is a candidate for adults interested in customizable fictional conversation. The evidence gathered here supports examining its documented controls; it does not establish conversation quality or a best-value plan. Predictable spending and reliable recall both require the unresolved account-level details.
